It’s hard to believe, but this is a True Story.

About a year ago, an electrical instructor phoned and asked an extraordinary question, “Do you have any Bergwall filmstrips from your old Basic Electricity Series?”

I told the caller that it had been about 30 years since we distributed filmstrips; however, there was a slight possibility that some might be available.

A search of a number of possible sources proved fruitless – a personal disappointment!  I really wanted to help him.

When I phoned him back with the bad news, he, too, was disappointed.

Then I asked him an obvious question.  “Why do you need them?”

He told me that he bought the original Bergwall series of six filmstrips and six audio cassettes in 1977 and has been using them ever since – for over 30 years.  And, he added, they had been the best instructional programs that he had ever used.  He explained how, over the years, he tried to find a better presentation.  But, he never found any that could replace his Bergwall Filmstrips.  As a result, he continued using them for 32 years.

Take a minute for that to sink in.  Holy Cow!  I was stunned!  What an extraordinary comment!

Can you imagine any textbooks or videos that you could use for 32 years? I sure can’t!

Just try keeping a car for that long.

Well, that started me thinking. Why not produce a re-make of the original filmstrips?  Bring them up-to-date with a 2010 version produced from scratch with the latest technology and information.

Well, we did. It has taken a year to complete the new version.  These Courses have features that were unimaginable 1977.  For instance the crystal-clear Video Clips, the gorgeous 3-D animations and the brilliant graphics.
